How to create online backups

We want to create an online file backup system, specifically an online backup. A kind of private cloud for level file backups.

We are interested both for personal purposes, since we want to protect the data of our laptop, and for professional purposes, since a customer needs to design data protection: the Disaster Recovery Plan.

For this goal we need a push system, that is, uploading its contents on to a container, repository, archive.

For our online backup we will talk about Borg Backup.

Deduplicating archiver with compression and encryption

It's a storage solution that 'deduplicates'. Never save duplicates. It is immune to changes in route and permits. Recognizes duplicates even through different repositories.
